1.Loại 1: Áp dụng cho cả ĐT thường và ĐT to be
- Bỏ if
- Đưa should ra trước chủ ngữ, tới chủ ngữ, tới đt nguyên mẫu (câu khẳng định) hoặc
- Đưa should ra trước chủ ngữ, tới chủ ngữ, tới NOT + đt nguyên mẫu (câu Phủ định)
- Cụ thể trong công thức:
- If + S + V =>
ifShould + S + be (KĐ)If + S + V be (not) =>ifShould + S + NOT + be (PĐ)
- If + S + don’t/ doesn’t + Vt =>
ifShould + S + NOT + be (PĐ)
- If + S + V =>
- Ví dụ:

2. Loại 2: Điều kiện không thật ở hiện tại hoặc tương lai
- Bỏ if
- Với ĐT tobe: đưa were ra trước rồi tới chủ ngữ tới phần phụ
- Với ĐT thường thì đưa were ra trước rồi tới chủ ngữ tới to inf
- Ví dụ:
- If I were you, I would not buy that car. It’s too colorful =>Were I you, I would not buy …
- If I were a bird, I would be an eagle =>Were I a bird, I would be an eagle
- If I were not your sister, I would kick you out of my car now =>Were I not your sister, I would …
- If I had wings, I would fly all over the world =>Were I to have wings, I would fly…

3. Loại 3: Điều kiện không thật ở quá khứ
- Bỏ if
- Đưa had ra trước chủ ngữ
- Ví dụ:
